Product Introduction
The specimen was added with quantitative potassium dichromate solution in strong sulfuric acid medium with silver sulfate as catalyst and mercury sulfate as chloride ion masking agent, and the mixture was confined and dissipated by high temperature and high pressure at 165ºC to quantitatively convert hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium, and the color of the mixture was changed, and the color change was measured by spectrophotometry to deduce the actual COD value, and the amount of consumed dichromate ions was equivalent to the amount of oxidizable organic matter.
